Call for IT & ITES Employees to support July 3rd National Protest
The National Coordination Committee (NCC) of IT & ITES Employees Unions met on 26th June 2020. The NCC decided to take part in the July 3rd national wide protest call given by the Central Trade Unions demanding to stop the Pro Employer Labour Law Amendments, to stop privatization of PSUs, to implement stringent punitive measures for violation of labour laws, etc.
In line with the decision of NCC, the Executive Committee of UNITE met on the 1st of July and decided to show our dissent against the on-going wage cuts, job cuts, forced resignations and the inactiveness of Labour Welfare Ministry and Departments during the Pandemic lockdown situation. As the Government is not intervening against the injustices happening to employees, we need to collectively demonstrate the dissent against the inactiveness and force the respective Government departments to act immediately.
Executive Committee calls upon the members to join for an online-protest on 3rd July with the following demands,
- We demand job security
- We demand the reduction of work day to 6 hours
- We demand right to disconnect after work hours
- We demand the Labour Welfare departments to fast track and proactively address the employees issues.
We request you all to post a selfie with the above demands on social media platforms at 11am with #UNITE #Unionize #TogetherWeBargain hashtags.
