Interim updates on the action points and general reminders – 26/07/2020

Dear all,

As you are aware, we have made changes to the leading body of UNITE as per the organizational circular dated on 17/07/2020[1]. After the co-option of new members the works were collectively decided and responsibilities are divided between the Executive Committee Members, below are the interim updates on the action points and general reminders,

1) On Sub Committees formation:

Executive Committee has formed three sub-committees to work in three aspects,

a) DEOs Organizing Sub Committee will strengthen our organization among E-Sevai and Aadhar DEOs across the state and explore ways and methods to organize DEOs in various other departments of government and private sector. b) Planned Activities Sub Committee will lead, expand and review the activities of members groups working to campaign on laws, rights, collective bargain case studies and need of work place level unionization. To join or get more information you can get in touch with Arun(9884121808), Join Secretary.

c) Research Sub Committee will help us to understand the industry and its movement through data collection and analysis. It will also expand its activities through help of interns and by forming a research group with interested members. Each sub committee has Executive Committee members with responsibilities towards achieving the goals. We would need more hands to support these activities, kindly reach out to the sub-committee members or responsible office bearers to join.

2) On membership renewal:

For the members who have not yet renewed their annual membership by paying subscription fee of 240 rupees for the year 2020, please reach out to the EC or OB members for renewal. For any clarifications and help please mail to uniteitorg@gmail, an email id collectively managed by the Office Bearers.

3) On membership and donations related transactions:

As best practice and for accounting purposes, Executive Committee Members or Office Bearers will not collect money on their personal accounts for any membership fee or donations. All the fund transactions should only go through the official UNITE bank account, every transaction of money received for organization activities will be given a receipt. If there are any pending receipts from our side, kindly reach out to uniteitorg@gmail.
